The Member for South Perth, John McGrath MLA, has welcomed the grant of $10,811 to the South Perth Lawn Tennis Club from the Community Sport and Recreational Facilities Fund.
“I was pleased to support the club’s application for a grant to resurface four hard courts as the hard courts had deteriorated and become dangerous to play on,” Mr McGrath said.
“The re-surfaced courts will be welcomed by members and ensure the Club can continue its hiring service and conduct competitions on the improved facilities.
“I was delighted to receive advice from the Hon Terry Waldron MLA, Minister for Sport and Recreation, that the grant application had been successful.”
Mr McGrath said the addition of the grant monies to funds already raised by the club would fund the resurfacing works.
He reminded all clubs in the electorate that CSRFF funding was available for approved projects.
